On Saturday, October 7, 2006, Seniorsfirst held its second annual fund-raiser gala at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. The highlight of the evening was the awarding of the Seniorsfirst 2006 Community Visionary Award to Norman and Nelson B. Leenhouts, Co-Chairs and founders of Home Properties, Inc.

This year, we also presented former Orioles manager and Red Wings Radio analyst Joe Altobelli with our first Ancora Imparo Award, honoring members of the Rochester Community who exemplify life-long learning.

In addition to a wonderful evening of food, music, dancing and socializing, ticket proceeds benefited area seniors through the programs and resources of Seniorsfirst Communities & Services.
