Pool and Whirlpool
Swimming and water exercises loosens up the joints in the body while strengthening their supporting muscles. Our arthritis aquatics classes involve non-stress movements to music in our therapeutic pool. One might also choose aqua-fit classes or non-impact aerobics designed to improve mobility. Certified lifeguard instructors lead all programs. Or perhaps you would just like to swim laps or visit with friends during our open swim times.
A constant temperature of 89 degrees soaks away aches while providing a great workout. Our pool is long enough for swimming laps, and with a depth of four feet is shallow enough to keep your head above water. Perfect for aquatic exercises! And for those not comfortable climbing steps, we have a pool chair lift. The use of bromine instead of chlorine makes the water less irritating to eyes and skin. There's also a 100-degree whirlpool to relax away the day.
Exercise Room
Fitness classes led by professional instructors trained in the specialized needs of seniors focus on stretching, strengthening and joint flexibility that improve balance and coordination. Enjoy the companionship of other fitness minded folks while improving your overall health in instructor-led classes or use our fitness equipment on your own. Our climate-controlled exercise room offers a variety of bikes, treadmills and weight machines.
Showers and Lockers
Clean, spacious locker rooms with showers are conveniently located adjacent to the exercise room, across from the pool.
